Why Multistreaming Is Changing How Creators Grow Audiences
Multistreaming is the practice of broadcasting the same live content simultaneously to multiple platforms like YouTube, Linkedin (etc)
It’s also known as simulcasting and is widely used by creators and businesses to expand their reach and engagement.
Why Multistreaming Matters
✅ Maximises Audience Reach
Instead of limiting your stream to one platform, you tap into the unique audiences of several platforms at once.
✅ Boosts Visibility
Your content becomes more discoverable across different ecosystems, increasing chances of interaction and growth.
✅ Reduces Platform Dependency
You’re not tied to the success or algorithm of a single service, making your strategy more resilient.
How It Works
✅ You use a multistreaming tool or service, like Restream (etc), to send your live feed to multiple destinations.
✅ These tools often include chat aggregation, analytics, and scheduling features to help manage engagement across platforms.
Technical Considerations
✅ Bandwidth
Streaming to multiple platforms can strain your internet connection, so a strong upload speed is essential.
✅ Audience Interaction
You’ll need a strategy to manage comments and engagement across different platforms in real time.
